Notes on the use of EEG caps
1. EEG cap installation recommendations
The electrodes should not be too borderline (too much borderline will result in insufficient pressure on the electrodes or they will not be perpendicular to the scalp, affecting the performance of the test)
It is recommended that all wires from the dry electrodes + ear clip electrodes are twisted into a single strand. If there is excess length in this strand, then it is recommended that this part of the wire be rolled up or folded and taped to shorten the length of the strand.
2. Preparation for the test
Keep your hair, scalp and earlobes clean and fresh (grease can affect contact performance and corrode the electrodes, so it is advisable to clean your hair and earlobes in advance with a cleansing cream and keep your hair + scalp dry and fresh afterwards).
3. Test recommendations
Keep the electrodes close to the scalp
The central axis of the electrode disc should be perpendicular to the surface of the scalp
Clip the electrodes to the earlobes, hold them in place and squeeze the sides with your hands to keep them close to the earlobes.
