Product features
The XMOS 16-core chip processes audio data received via USB* digital inputs.
The 16-core XMOS microcontroller greatly enhances the processing power. Compared to 8-core chips, the processing power is further improved, providing double the clock frequency speed (2000MIPS) and 4 times (512KB) of storage.
The iFi R&D team has programmed the XMOS firmware to achieve better sound quality and guarantee excellent cooperation with DAC circuits.
Burr-Brown TrueNative® chipset to keep the file format unchanged when decoding, or to ensure "Bit-Perfect". This means that you will listen to the music as the artist recorded it intended.
The Burr-Brown chip has become a widely used component in iFi products, chosen for its loose-hearted and natural-sounding "musicality" and True Native architecture. When it comes to chip handling, we have full experience and know how to make the most of it.
HD parsing
TrueNative® playback of all music formats, from MP3 to DSD256, PCM384 and DXD384.
MQA compatible optional
Tidal called MQA the future mainstream of HD streaming audio. While supporting MQA, it is also compatible with all audio formats up to DSD 11.289MHz and PCM 384kHz/32Bit. Connect to the computer, adjust Tidal to play MQA format, you can perfectly parse MQA music.
Whether you use Mac or Linux? Then find the iFi firmware. Download "Limoncello" 5.2A to fix Mac/Linux DoP256 issues.
Want to introduce a special GTO filter for the first time in the flagship Pro iDSD? Please use the latest 5.3C version.
TrueBass®iFi is another unique tuning technique that is strictly implemented on analog lines. Bass depth and quality are the most demanded by all-in-one home systems.
The TrueBass system combines two passive drivers that vibrate downwards to ensure that Aurora delivers bass® with depth and clarity. Dual depth control means the bass can be adjusted to your personal preference ? down to 27Hz.
From timpani, to bass guitar to electric double bass, everything is delivered with power and balance.
Independent left and right channel audio circuits.
This is a working method that is superior to traditional single-ended circuits. Balancing circuitry reduces noise and crosstalk. Less distractions ? clearer sound.
Usually you`ll find this setting in higher-priced products like the Pro iCAN, but iFi is now using it across its entire range to produce the best quality audio for all of our customers.
GMT (Global Master Timing) global master clock technology. During audio signal transmission, all input data is sent to a dynamic memory buffer, where jitter is removed before being transferred to the DAC chip.
After the buffer debounces, the signal is re-corrected by the GMT clock to ensure its high accuracy. This clock is also in effect for XMOS processors.
