Designed for 12V&24V 12V battery testing
¡¼Great Compatibility¡½BST500 battery tester is designed for 12V and 24V lead-acid batteries with a capacity of 100 to 2000 CCA, including regular flooded, AGM flat plate, AGM spiral, gel, and deep cycle batteries. It covers most battery rating standards such as CCA, BCI, CA, MCA, JIS, DIN, IEC, EN, SAE, and GB.
¡¼Load Test & Charging Test¡½To test the battery`s start-up capability, maximum discharge capability and charging capability through the start-up load test, maximum working load test and charging test respectively. Please refer to the electronic manual below for a detailed description of the functions.
¡¼Built-in Thermal Printer¡½Equipped with a built-in thermal printer, it can print test data one-stop in a few seconds accurately, and you can share it with others for further analysis. No need for software and a PC connection to print, more convenient and faster.
¡¼Multiple Vehicle Applications¡½BST500 battery tester is a more advanced tool with the capability to check 12V and 24V battery systems for automotive, marine, motorcycle, boat, truck, etc. Works on both in-vehicle battery and out-of-vehicle storage battery. It can also be used for analyzing starting system and charging system.
¡¼Fast Testing & Reliable Results¡½It adopts the advanced conductance testing technology to provide you with reliable results. Displays battery parameters in about 2.5 seconds to advise you if you need to replace the battery.
BST500 Battery Analyzer System Criteria & Scope:
CCA 100-2000 (SAE & BCI to develop the standard most commonly used : the cold-start battery rating )
BCI 100-2000 ( international battery Committee standards )
CA 100-2000 (0 C when the effective starting current rating)
MCA 100-2000 ( ships standard effective starting current rating , 0 C )
JIS 26A17 - 245H52 ( Japanese Industrial Standard)
Standard DIN 100-1400 ( German Automobile Industry Committee )
The IEC 100-1400 ( International Electrotechnical Commission standard )
EN 100-2000 ( European Automobile Manufacturers Association standards )
SAE 100-2000 ( U.S. Engineers Standard)
GB 100-1400 ( Chinese National Standard
Engine System Activation Load Test
Start the engine to make the tester record the lowest voltage in this process automatically. For the 12V system, the standard voltage is 9.6V; for 24V system, the standard voltage is 16V. If the lowest voltage is higher than the 9.6V (for the 24V system, the lowest voltage is over 16V), the system is good. If the lowest voltage is lower than the standard voltage, the system is not good.
Maximum Load System Test
For the 12V system, the standard voltage is 12.8V, for the 24V system, the standard voltage is 25.6V. If the lowest voltage is higher than the 12.8V (for the 24V system, the lowest voltage is over 25.6V), the system runs normally. If the lowest voltage is lower than 12.8V (for the 24V system, the lowest voltage is under 25.6V), please check if the engine belt is damaged and the wires are short-circuited.
Charging System Test
For the 12V system, the standard maximum voltage is 15V, the standard minimum voltage is 13.3V; for the 24V system, the standard maximum voltage is 30V, the standard minimum voltage is 26.6V. If the current voltage is higher than 15V or 30V, please check the voltage regulator. If the current voltage is lower than 13.3V or 26.6V, please check the connections, wires, and engine.
