Please note that this adapter is only used to transfer the four most basic functions: daytime running light, turn signal light, low beam and high beam.
This adapter does not include steering assist lights and AFS (Adaptive Frontlighting system)£¬After installation, if the original car cannot detect AFS or the self-test function then shows a error, please code to eliminate it.
If your original car headlights are halogen lights£¬the Original headlight plug should be 10 pin-holes ,then you won`t need this adapter, you can install the after-market headlighs.
If your original car headlights are xenon lights ,the Original headlight plug should be 14 pin-holes ,If you want to replace the aftermarket headlights, you will need this adapter .
After the Golf MK7 in some countries uses this adapter to install the after-market headlights, if the high beam does not work, please adjust the position of the pin according to the function corresponding to the plug pin. If you need to code, please contact a local professional for coding. We do not have the coding content.
For some Volkswagen models, the daytime running light pin is at the position of Pin9, you need to move the Pin3 to the position of Pin9 by yourself.
If your Golf MK6 original headlight does not have the daytime running light function, then even if you use this adapter to install the aftermarket headlights, there will be no daytime running lights. You need to use an extension wire to connect the pin3 in the adapter to the ACC pin of the fuse box to get power, so that when you unlock the vehicle, the daytime running lights will automatically light up (ACC pin will get power when you unlock the car)
But you still need to eliminate errors through coding, because the aftermarket headlights do not contain self-inspection and AFS (Adaptive Frontlighting System) functions, and the original car will display errors because the corresponding functions cannot be detected.
